ITAérea Aeronautical Business School is pleased to announce the renewal of its certification as an Accredited Training Centre within the ACI World (Airports Council International) network, further strengthening its commitment to excellence and quality in specialised airport and aeronautical management training.
The renewal of this accreditation recognises the work carried out by ITAérea and its commitment to the highest standards of quality in airport training. It also highlights the School’s dedication to innovation, the adoption of the latest technologies and the application of international best practices in airport and aeronautical management.
The renewal process included an audit visit to ITAérea’s headquarters in Madrid on 18 September, conducted by Shahani McKenzie, ACI World’s Director of Training Operations. During the visit, McKenzie reviewed the facilities and resources available at the centre as part of the assessment required to renew the accreditation.
The visit to the facilities was led by Iván López, Academic Director at ITAérea, and Alex Baró, Director of International Business Development, who were accompanied by members of the School’s administrative, technical and support teams.
In this context, from 5 to 10 October, ITAérea and ACI World have jointly delivered the in-person Advanced Airport Operations programme at ITAérea’s facilities in Madrid. The programme brought together airport industry professionals from around the world. Participants included senior professionals such as airport directors, heads of legal departments, ground handling services directors and shift supervisors, among other professionals involved in airport management and operations.
The renewal of this accreditation strengthens ITAérea’s position within ACI World’s international network of training centres and reaffirms its commitment to specialised, up-to-date training aligned with the needs and challenges of the international airport industry.
