Professional Career

Juan Manuel Romero has been a journalist at TVE since 1985, with responsibilities in TVE news broadcasts. Between 2007 and 2012, he was the news editor for Canal 24 Horas. Subsequently, he became the director of Los Desayunos de TVE.
Currently, he is the director and presenter of “Emprende”, a program broadcast weekly on Canal 24 Horas, La 1 and all international channels of TVE. They are also broadcast live on Facebook, Twitter and YouTube.
Between 2014 and 2019, he received 41 national and international awards in recognition of his professional work in the world of communication, journalism, entrepreneurship, and the dissemination of digital transformation and new professions.
He has been a reference expert for the Coca-Cola group for social media (2011). His knowledge of spoken and written media has allowed him to be interviewed by more than a thousand radio stations, one by one, between 2010 and 2011, thanks to a method he developed himself.
Since 1997, he has been delivering seminars, workshops, talks, and conferences on digital transformation, new professions, startups and employability, selling on digital platforms, entrepreneurship, charisma and empathy, personal branding, and how to deliver bad news effectively, both in medical and business settings.
He is the author and co-author of various publications: ‘Selling on Digital Platforms’ (2018), ‘Charisma and Empathy’ (2018), ‘Entrepreneurship in the Digital Age’ (2017), ‘Pills for Entrepreneurs’ (2015), ‘Let Everyone Know!’ (2013), ‘In a Dinghy and Taking on Water’ (2011), ‘Use and Abuse of Technology’ (2006).
