ITAérea adheres to the Spanish Network of the United Nations Global Compact

News

Launched in the year 2000, the United Nations Global Compact, is the largest sustainability initiative in the world. There are currently more than 19,000 affiliated entities in more than 160 countries and it has 70 local networks.

In Spain, more than 2,100 organizations have joined the initiative, making it the Local Network with the largest number of affiliated entities and, therefore, the most important in the world.

The initiative in Spain stands out for the number of adherents, the number of Communications on Progress (COP) or sustainability reports presented, in performance and in solutions for its partners.

Adhering to the Global Compact implies that ITAérea commits to align its operations with the Ten Universally Accepted Principles of UNGC in the areas of human rights, labor standards, the environment and the fight against corruption, and to adopt measures in support of the United Nations objectives, currently embodied in the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG).

ITAérea has joined thousands of companies worldwide and is committed to carrying out responsible business/corporate actions to create the world we want.

In the words of Mr. José Ignacio Escudero, CEO of ITAérea Aeronautical Business School, “we support each and every one of the objectives of the United Nations Global Compact.

Sustainable environmental development has become one of the priority objectives for air transport.

Among others, we have a specific postgraduate program on the subject: Master in Sustainable Air Transport Management.

Mr. José Ignacio Escudero, General Director of ITAérea Aeronautical Business School.
