ITAérea Aeronautical Business School signs a Memorandum of Understanding with the Somali Civil Aviation Authority (SCAA)

News

ITAérea Aeronautical Business School has achieved a new milestone in its international expansion with the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Somali Civil Aviation Authority (SCAA), the national civil aviation authority of Somalia.

This agreement establishes a strategic collaboration framework focused on:

  • Executive and postgraduate training for SCAA staff.
  • Tailored training programs in regulation, sustainability, digital innovation, and leadership.
  • Access to ITAérea’s international master’s programs: MBAAM, MAAS, MATSM (with UNITAR), MAAM, MIAL, MACS, and MAIDA.
  • Creation of scholarships and preferential conditions to support talent development in Somalia.

As part of this initiative, 25 SCAA staff members will enroll in our academic programs and benefit from this partnership, strengthening the skills of the teams leading the future of aviation in Somalia.

We would like to extend special thanks to Ahmed Hassan, Director General of the Somali Civil Aviation Authority and ITAérea alumnus, for his continued collaboration and trust. Without his support, this agreement would not have been possible.

This signing also reflects ITAérea’s strong commitment to global initiatives such as ICAO Training Donor and the Next Generation of Aviation Professionals (NGAP), contributing to making aviation training accessible and affordable worldwide. Thanks to our online model, we significantly reduce accommodation and travel costs, ensuring that every professional, regardless of location, has the right to access high-quality training.

With this step, ITAérea reinforces its mission to support civil aviation authorities worldwide, promoting excellence, safety, and sustainability in air transport management.

If you are a Civil Aviation Authority and would like ITAérea to be your training partner, please contact Jaime Brea, Director of Innovation and Strategic Partnerships, at jaime@itaerea.es.
