Last Friday, May 8, the graduation ceremony for the postgraduates of the class of 2026 took place in Madrid, Spain.
The event was held in the emblematic Linares Palace – Casa América and brought together graduates of the 2024-2026 class from 40 countries on 5 continents, who had the opportunity to enjoy their well-deserved recognition and a unique experience. At the end of the event, a cocktail was served.
We highlight the presence of the different personalities and teachers who accompanied the students, such as Mr. Raúl Medina, Director General of EUROCONTROL and promotion godfather; Mr. Javier Gándara, Honorary President and teacher of ITAérea, General Director of easyJet for southern Europe and President of ALA; Mr. Santiago Cortés, Executive Director at ENAIRE Global Services; Dr. Laura Camastra, Chief of Training at the International Civil Aviation Organization ICAO (remotely); Mr. José Luis Del Valle Castaño, Captain and Fleet Manager at IBERIA; Mr. Carlos Berenguer, Honorary Vice President and teacher of ITAérea; Mr. Raúl Gómez, Commercial Marketing and Digital Business Director at AENA, teacher; Mr. Enrique Fernández, Managing Director, Menzies Aviation Spain, teacher; Mr. Jesús Valero, member of the Advisory Board of ITAérea; Mr. Javier Sacristán, Future Mid-Size Tactical Cargo Aircfraft (FMTC) Programme Manager, Airbus DS, teacher; Ms. Hania Angelina, Head of Technology Laboratories at Airbus DS, teacher.
Representing ITAérea Aeronautical Business School, part of the ITAérea management team attended the graduation ceremony: The General Director of the Business School, Mr. José Ignacio Escudero, the Deputy General Director, Mrs. Estrella Valera, the Academic Director, Mr. Iván López; the management team of ITAérea Madrid, with Ms. Ana Cufari; Mr. Jaime Brea, Director of International Development; Mr. José María Rosell, Head of Quality Assurance at ITAérea and Mr. Nicolás Henao, commercial representative at ITAérea.

In parallel with the graduation ceremony, various interviews were carried out with the graduates in which we were able to learn first-hand about their impressions about ITAérea and the training received. SPECIAL AWARD TO ICAO:
ITAérea is a Corporate Partner of ICAO (International Civil Aviation Organization) and a member of its TRAINAIR PLUS network. In addition, it is an officially recognized ICAO Training Donor.
As an official training partner of ICAO, ITAérea maintains with ICAO a collaboration agreement focused on strengthening the capabilities of civil aviation professionals worldwide reinforcing their commitment to global talent development.
To honor this agreement and the collaboration between both institutions, ITAérea awarded ICAO with a special recognition for their excellence and unwavering support.
SPECIAL AWARD TO AFCAC:
AFCAC is the African Union’s Specialized Agency for all civil aviation matters on the African continent and the Executing Agency of the Single African Air Transport Market (SAATM).
In 2025, ITAEREA and AFCAC signed a Memorandum of Understanding for the launch of the AWAYA – African Women and Youth in Aviation (AWAYA) scholarship program, which was highly successful.
To honor this agreement, ITAérea awarded AFCAC a recognition for their excellence and unwavering support.
SPECIAL AWARD TO IBERIA AIRLINES:
Iberia and ITAérea have collaborated over the past 15 years through the contribution of executives to all ITAérea programs and all ITAérea offices.
Next year, Iberia will celebrate its 100th anniversary.
In appreciation of Iberia’s collaboration, ITAérea awarded the airline with a recognition for their excellence and unwavering support.
SPECIAL MENTION FOR THE BEST BUSINESS PLAN:
“TOKEN AIR” by the SKYWAYS Group. TokenAir proposes a solution to increase the profitability of leased aircraft by enhancing asset liquidity and transaction agility, while reducing costs associated with traditional infrastructure. All of this is made possible through the tokenization of assets using blockchain technology, which would transform the infrastructure supporting the commercial aircraft leasing industry, offering a new approach to ownership, financing, and transfer.
