Program Description

The Course on Air Navigation Management offers a detailed and technical overview of how aircraft operate within increasingly complex and saturated airspaces, particularly in the European context. As the continent continues to evolve under initiatives like SESAR (Single European Sky ATM Research), understanding the organization and structure of controlled airspace, as well as the technology that supports safe and efficient navigation, becomes more essential than ever.

This course explores the fundamentals of aircraft architecture, navigation procedures, and the technical systems that support radionavigation and air navigation. Topics include conventional and modern equipment, meteorological influences, communication and surveillance systems, and the regulatory framework surrounding airspace use. Participants will gain the foundational and applied knowledge necessary to understand how aircraft move through controlled airspace, what tools and procedures guide them, and how this information is used by aeronautical and airport operators to ensure safety and efficiency.
