XIII Airport Sector Meeting, organised by ACI-LAC and ACI World, hosted by Lima Airport and ITAérea

From September 25 to 29, 2026, the American interterritorial delegation of ITAérea, together with ACI-LAC and ACI World, will hold the XIII Airport Sector Meeting in Lima, Peru, as part of the ACI-LAC/World Annual General Assembly, Conference and Exhibition (WAGA 2026), hosted by Lima Airport. More than 500 representatives of the airport industry from around the world are expected to attend, and they will have the opportunity to share their ideas, experiences and vision on strategic issues for the airport sector.

The importance of this meeting requires the collaboration of prestigious institutions such as Airports Council International – Latin America and Caribbean (ACI-LAC) and Airports Council International (ACI World). For this reason, the occasion will be used to convene the ACI World Governing Board and the ACI-LAC Board of Directors, and to hold the Annual General Assemblies of both organisations, from which the strategy for the coming years will be designed.

This year the programme will address topics such as:

• State of the industry: global and regional perspectives.
• Airports as gateways to tourism and regional development.
• Smart airport investments: national strategies for the future.
• Geopolitics and aviation: navigating global shifts.
• Airports and the city: strategic integration through community engagement and logistics.
• The key role of airports in enabling scalable Advanced Air Mobility (AAM) ecosystems.
• Optimising airspace and airport operations.
• The future of non-aeronautical business and customer experience.
• The impact of digital transformation on airports.
• A new round of airport investments in Peru: unlocking the third airport group.
• The role of the private sector in airport development.
• Energy transition: a strategic imperative to strengthen airport decarbonisation and resilience.
