ITAérea expands its collaboration agreement with the UN agency UNITAR and CIFAL Mérida (Mexico)

On March 1, 2023, the executive director of CIFAL Mérida in Mexico, Mr. Héctor Navarrete, and his counterpart from ITAérea Aeronautical Business School, Mr. José Ignacio Escudero, sealed the extension for another 4 years of the alliance that unites these institutions since 2017.

In November 2017, meeting at the Palace of Nations, Geneva, ITAérea Aeronautical Business School, CIFAL Mérida (International Training Center for Authorities and Leaders) and UNITAR (United Nations Institute for Training and Research), the first of the signing of the trilateral agreement was carried out, the objective of which has always been the development of comprehensive training in the field of air transport that meets the Sustainable Development Goals of the UN 2030 Agenda.

Nevertheless, in 2013, ITAérea and CIFAL had signed a collaboration agreement in Cancun (Mexico) that in its first year alone resulted in the training of 1.808 Latin American airport managers.

On May 16, 2018, the signing of the extension of the collaboration agreement signed in Geneva between ITAérea Aeronautical Business School, UNITAR and CIFAL Mérida took place at the ITAérea Madrid headquarters.

10 years after that historic year 2013, the alliance between these institutions is renewed. Through this agreement, the 30 CIFAL centers located around the World will have access to the training offered by ITAérea, standardizing capacities and promoting the sustainable growth of the air transport industry for the benefit of all sectors involved in it.
