ITAerea Malaga was one of the first headquarters opened by our business school together with the ones in Madrid and Murcia. It was founded due to the importance of the airport of Malaga within AENA’S network and the boost of our Malaga strategic partner, AERTEC.
It is located in the Technological Park of Andalusia (PTA) within Habitec’s training facilities.
Among the group of companies included in the PTA, the Information Technology sector (Electronics, Information, IT and Telecommunications) stands out as top sector, represented by a 32.27% of all companies with an employment rate of 60.14% and an annual turnover of 48.22% in 2015.
Moreover, this sector (ICTs and Technological and R&D Centres) employs 65% of the employees working at PTA’s companies and institutions. The industrial sector represents a 8%; Medicine, Health, Energy and Environment is represented by a employment volume of 9%; Engineering, Consulting (9%), Services (3%), Training and Human Resources (3%) and Agri-Food and Biotechnology (3%).
The employees’ number at the PTA currently amounts to 16,774 workers.
The Airport of Malaga receives currently around 20 million passengers.
Malaga is a Spanish city and municipality, located in Andalusia’s Autonomous Community and whose province holds the same name.
