Integrating Drone Operations near Airports

Drone (UAVs, RPAs, RPAS, etc.) operations have emerged as significant disruptors, especially near airports. Current airspace designations and classifications were done decades ago, without considering unmanned operations, especially close to the ground. This short course will introduce and discuss various elements to be considered when adapting airport operations and drone operations to each other.

Duration and dates: 1 day (4 hours). 2 November 2025

Understanding the Basics of Airport Collaborative Decision-Making

As Air Traffic Flow Management (ATFM) evolved, it became apparent that inefficiencies in the use of airport and airspace resources were prevalent. In addition, the lack of situational awareness in the airport ground handling and airline dispatch domains were leading to inefficiencies. This course introduces Airport Collaborative Decision-Making (A-CDM) and explores its role in modern airport and flight operations.

Duration and dates: 1 day (4 hours). 6 October 2025
