Professional Career

Aeronautical Engineer and Master in Airport Systems and Business Management, he began his professional career in 1988, at the consulting firm Intecsa (International Engineering and Technical Studies, S.A.).
In 1990, he joined the State Aeronautical Engineers Corps, assigned to the Reina Sofía Airport in Tenerife.
He joined Aena (Spanish Airports and Air Navigation) in 1991, holding various positions at the Tenerife Airports and, from 1994, at Aena’s Central Services in Madrid. During this period, he was part of the ACI (Airports Council International) world committee for air cargo facilitation.
In 1997, he was appointed Aena Delegate at the Torrejón de Ardoz Air Base and, in 1998, Director of Madrid/Cuatro Vientos Airport and Aena Representative on the Board of Trustees and Governing Council of the Infante de Orleans Foundation, positions he held until his appointment as Director of Valencia Airport in September 2001.
From 2009 to 2011, he was Director of Operations at Castellón Airport.
He has held the position of Director of the Región de Murcia International Airport.
He has given various lectures and published several books, and has been an associate professor of Aeronautical Engineering at the Polytechnic University of Valencia. He has also obtained a patent for a new baggage check-in counter as a utility model.
He currently holds the position of Director of El Tepual Airport (Chile).
