The second international headquarters of ITAérea are in Ecuador. Following a proposal from the executive team of Cuenca Airport, a first-class capacity building in airport efficiency was conducted. As a result of this assignment, it started to develop what today is, without doubt, the most successful international headquarters of this Business School.
The concession management of airports, the implementation of environmentally sustainable airports such as that of Galápagos Islands, the excellent customer support at Guayaquil airport, and the high regulatory level of the Ecuadorian educational system have allowed the constant growth of the headquarters.
The incorporation of the Private University of Loja came about thanks to the trust that ITAérea Ecuador inspired within the local educational community. Undoubtedly, the combined efforts from both entities are bearing fruit.
Ecuador, officially known as the Republic of Ecuador, is a South American country. It borders to the north with Colombia, to the south and to the east with Peru, and to the west with the Pacific Ocean, which divides it from the Galápagos Islands, located 1000 km away, from Puntilla de Santa Elena to the island of San Cristóbal. A volcanic section of the Andes Mountain Range divides the territory from north to south, leaving at its western flank the Gulf of Guayaquil and a wooded plain, and to the east, the Amazon forest. Ecuador, with an area of 283 561 sq. km, is the 4th smallest country in the subcontinent, although, for reference, its area is bigger than that of the United Kingdom. It is the 10th most populated country in America, with a little more than 16 million inhabitants, the most densely populated in South America and the 5th most densely populated in the whole continent.
