The VII Sector Meeting: Airports celebrated in Cancun brings together senior executives of the airport industry from all over the world, and features discussion topics that shape the way in which the aviation industry is quickly evolving. The airport community will gather in Cancún, Mexico, on 21-24 November 2021. The sharing of best practices in the industry is a necessary response to the rapidly changing world of aviation and in particular the airport industry.

Among the various impacts of Covid-19 on the airport sector, the large reduction in passenger demand at all levels has paralyzed the privatization process in the Latam region, as well as globally. Besides, government budgets have further constrained to invest in new infrastructure. While there is an avid appetite for private investors to pour money into the business, the risk profile for airports has changed and projects are and will be analyzed from different perspectives. The panel of executives will go through their internal views on investing in airport assets and how these views have changed from pre-Covid era.
