Last Friday, March 31 at 17:00 h, an extraordinary conference was held at the ITAérea Madrid headquarters by Mr. Fernando Echegaray, CEO of ADP International (Paris Airports), in the context of the Master in Management and Direction Airport and Aeronautics executive face-to-face.

As we already indicated in a previous publication, Mr. Fernando Echegaray was one of the most renowned executives in the history of Aena, currently CEO of ADP International (Paris Airports).

The event held at the ITAérea Madrid facilities was attended by part of the ITAérea management team, represented by our General Director, Mr. José Ignacio Escudero; our Vice President of Honor, Mr. Javier Gándara; while D. Carlos Medrano, Honorary President of ITAérea could not attend due to schedule problems. Likewise, several teachers from the School attended, as well as the students of the MGDA executive postgraduate course from ITAérea Madrid.

Mr. Fernando’s conference was oriented towards employment opportunities in ADP and the attraction of talent, the strategy, plans and future challenges of the airport group, the characteristics of its international network of airports, sustainability, in addition to exposing the projects currently managed by the ADP Group internationally.

This conference has been of vital importance, first of all, because Mr. Echegaray represents the senior management of the ADP airport manager. And, secondly, because the teacher has decided to go to ITAérea to respond to the group’s needs to attract international talent. An opportunity that, without a doubt, will be taken advantage of by our students.

As usual in ITAérea, this presentation embodies the main objective of the School, the transmission of the great experience of our teachers, senior executives of the sector, to our students. Undoubtedly, this day will be remembered by our students and marks another milestone in the path of positioning ITAérea as the first School in the world for management training for the airport and aeronautical sector.

Mr. Echegaray’s professional career is closely linked to airport management at the highest level. He was Director of the Barcelona-El Prat Airport, Director of the Tenerife South Airport, Director of Operations of the Grupo Aeroportuario del Pacífico SAB de CV, Deputy Director of the Palma de Mallorca Airport and Director-Airport Network of Aena S.M.E. SA. As director of the airport network in Spain, Mr. Echegaray was largely responsible for driving its growth to all-time records for passengers and flights.

The ADP Group is the authority that builds, conditions and operates the airport infrastructures of Île-de-France, including the two main airports in Paris and France, Paris-Orly and Paris-Charles de Gaulle.

It is the second European airport group in terms of airport business figures after AENA and the first European group in terms of freight and mail. It has about 460 airlines as clients.
